Secure Close Platform

A faster, controlled close for your portfolio companies, with a person signing off on every entry.

We run the monthly close and sponsor reporting on a managed platform. Each company's data sits in its own isolated environment. AI handles the first pass on variance work, KPI packs and routine journal entries. Your controller or our team reviews and approves everything before it touches the ledger.

What the platform covers

Built for the reporting a sponsor and lender actually ask for.

We connect to the company's ERP with read-only access and map it to the sponsor's chart of accounts. From there the close runs on a checklist we manage with the company's finance team.

Variance and KPI packs

Monthly flux analysis with written commentary, and a KPI pack built to the sponsor's format. Our team edits the draft before it goes out.

Lender and covenant packs

Lender reporting and covenant support prepared on the same numbers as the board pack, so the two never disagree.

Cash forecast

A rolling 13‑week cash forecast refreshed from the ledger and bank activity, reviewed by the finance lead each week.

Close checklist and proposed entries

A tracked close checklist plus proposed journal entries for accruals, reclasses and recurring items. Each one is a proposal until a person approves it.

How control works

The AI prepares. People approve and post.

The design goal is simple: nothing reaches the general ledger without a named reviewer, and every step leaves a record.

  1. An isolated environment per company

Each portfolio company gets its own workspace and its own encryption keys. One company's data is never mixed with another's.

  2. Read-only access to source systems

The AI reads from the ERP and bank feeds. It has no permission to change anything in them.

  3. A preparer and a separate approver

Proposed entries wait in a staging area. The person who approves an entry cannot be the person who prepared it.

  4. Posting is a human step

A separate posting service sends approved entries to the ledger only when a person triggers it. Every action is kept in an audit log that can only be added to.

Targets and limits

What we aim for, and what we will not take on.

Close in five business days or less

Our target, with a flash P&L on day three. It depends on the company's systems, bank feeds and how quickly source documents arrive. We confirm what is realistic during onboarding.

Onboarding in about 30 days

Our target for connecting the ERP and mapping to the sponsor's chart of accounts. Companies with several entities or a messy ledger can take longer.

Model providers do not train on your data

We use model services set up so prompts and outputs are not used for training and are not retained. Our staff sign in with single sign-on and multi-factor authentication.

No CUI or ITAR data

For aerospace and defense companies, the platform handles commercial financial data only. Controlled unclassified information and ITAR data stay out of it.

Security reviews

We do not yet have a SOC 2 report of our own. We will complete your security questionnaire, walk your IT team through the setup, and share the SOC 2 reports of the hosting and software vendors the platform runs on.

Pricing

A fixed fee to get each company running.

Ongoing support is scoped and priced on a short call, once we have seen the company's systems and reporting needs.

$10,000 one-time setup

Per company. Covers the ERP connection, chart-of-accounts mapping, close checklist and the first sponsor and lender pack templates.

Works for construction, field services, manufacturing, and aerospace & defense companies outside CUI scope. It can run alongside interim, audit prep or reporting work, or on its own.
